| Welcome to the web-site of Icarus Peel. Roughly seventeen years ago Icarus left the big city to get his head together in the country. Whether or not he succeeded is open to debate, but he now leads a pastoral existence somewhere to the west of Zeal Monachorum, somewhere to the east of Zennor Cove. From this indistinct location he gathers in the various available powers to create a unique brand of music electric, acoustic, melodic and eccentric. And he drinks an awful lot of tea.. |  |
Inside this web-site you may not discover the secrets of the universe, but we hope you will get to know a little about Icarus and his never ending search for the perfect bent note, the sweetest ringing augmented chord and the earthiest low down filthy riff. | If you are looking for perfect production values, look elsewhere. If you demand pitch perfect tuning and the glossy finish of a Coldplay disc, please move on. If you require your ears to be anesthetically washed in waves of lush, digital auto-compression, give up now. But.....if you like analogue sounds with occasional faint background noise.. real twanging strings... that occasional quaver on a particularly peculiar point of melody. If you like electric guitars bending their notes into tune.. real feeling on the high bits...real basic on the low bits...and the occasional clunk... then welcome.
